Professor Loretta Baldassar is Vice Chancellor’s Professorial Research Fellow at Edith Cowan University and Professor of Anthropology and Sociology. Loretta leads the ECU Research Program in Migration, Diversity and Care and the Social Ageing (SAGE) Futures Lab. A Fellow of the Australian Academy of Social Sciences, her work is widely acknowledged as foundational to Transnational Family studies. Her career has been devoted to understanding the impact of migration, with a focus on social care, social health and life course ageing.
